XOVOLTIB 30MG


Xovoltib 30mg is indicated for the first-line treatment for patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)

DESCRIPTION :


Xovoltib 30mg is a targeted therapy drug
It used to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It may also be used to treat other cancers as part of clinical trial. Xovoltib 30mg is a type of regimen called protein kinase inhibitors. Xovoltib 30mg is a prescription drugs which is used under the supervision of medical practioners.

MECHANISM OF ACTION :


Xovoltib 30mg stops the activating sites called tyrosine kinases of various proteins within the cell. These proteins are most likely to develop cancer growth when the tumor includes the EGFR gene mutation.


DRUG – DRUG INTERACTION :

Xovoltib 30mg interaction with P-gpinducers (carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital) with Xovoltib 30mg will decrease exposure to Afatinib.
Xovoltib 30mg interaction with P-gpinhibitors (cyclosporine A, ketoconazole verapamil) with Xovoltib 30mg will increase exposure to Afatinib.

PRECAUTIONS :


Some patients have some serious condition ,the drug will make conditions worse, the conditions like :
Hepatic toxicity
Interstitial lung disease (ILD)
Bullous and exfoliative skin disorders
diarrhae.

Embryo-fetal toxicity:

Xovoltib 30mg will have risk to the foetus when administrated to pregnant women
Keratitis: if patients confirm with suspected keratitis or ulcerative keratitis then stop or discontinue the drug.
Pregnancy :

While on treatment with Xovoltib 30mg Pregnancy should avoid because the drug Xovoltib 30mg is administrated to a pregnant woman will harm the foetus.

Missed Dose :

If patient missed to take the dose of Xovoltib 30mg, the missed dose must be skipped and follow the regular dosing schedule Do not self-medicate.Do not double the dose Mustconsult with medical oncologist and follow the suggestions.
